RD Wales works with local landowners and partners to develop a wide range of wind projects across Wales, generating from 500kW upwards.
Successful delivery of our projects provides benefit to the local economy as well as contributing to national Government objectives which seek to increase the output from renewable energy sources by 20% by 2020. Our projects also support the growth of the Welsh Renewable Energy Sector, an emerging sustainable industry for the future of Wales.
RDWales is currently working on a number of wind projects across Mid and South Wales.
One which is currently in planning is Gilfach, a 0.5MW wind project based in Carmarthernshire. RDW are developing this project in Partnership with Temporis Wind, who since 2010, have completed feasibility site assessments on over 3,000 potential projects on behalf of its landowner partners, achieving 7,500kW of consented wind capacity.
The planning application was submitted to the Local Planning Authority in Spring 2014. The planning application documents can be viewed on their Planning Portal using the Reference : W/30012.
Further information will be made available through the website as each project progresses.
